IFFA to pay tribute to late Iran actor

Iranian Film Festival Australia is to screen 'The Blue-Veiled' as a tribute to late Iran actor Ezzatollah Entezami.

The 8th run of Iranian film festival Australia will have a special screening of the restored version of the acclaimed movie 'The Blue-Veiled' as a tribute to late veteran Iran actor Ezzatollah Entezami. 

Fatemeh Motamed-Arya who is currently on ifilm with 'The Chef' series will attend the honoring ceremony as a special guest of the event.  

'Pig' by Mani Haghighi, 'Rona, Azim's Mother' by Jamshid Mahmoudi, 'Amir' by Nima Eghlimi, 'Hendi & Hormoz' by Abbas Amini, Ramtin Lavafi's ‘Hattrick’, 'The Lost Strait' by Bahram Tavakkoli and Behrouz Shoeibi's ‘Axing’ are among the movies to go on screen at the festival.

'Axing' and 'The Lost Strait' will have their first international screening at the event.

Iranian Film Festival Australia is an Australian festival dedicated to Iranian cinema, forging cultural understanding between Iran and Australia.

The 8th Iranian Film Festival Australia (IFFA 2018) includes 12 features and 3 short films among which are some of the best productions of the year.

The event will run from October 18 through November 18, 2018 in six major cities of Australia city of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.
